STEPS TO FOOD FREEDOM
(1) Take personal responsibility for your health
(2) Accept that diet is a primary factor in your health
(3) Recognize that processed foods have chemical additives and often lack the nutrition of whole food
(4) Build your diet around whole natural foods (see "Know More" page for list of whole foods essential for health)
(5) Source whole foods locally, preferably directly from farmers (see "Know More" page for directory of farms)
(6) Buy food in season. Learn how to store vegetables over winter. Buy freezers to store frozen meat.
(7) Out of respect for the environment and care for animals, support organic agriculture whenever possible
(8) Cook and prepare your own food
(9) Grow your own fruit, vegetables, and even meat (e.g. rabbits, chickens)
(10) Form buying groups with friends to economize and co-operate on food processing (e.g. canning sprees)
